Syagrus Romanzoffiana
Common name: Queen Palms
This palm is used as a wonderful addition to landscaping, and is native to South America. It grows to a maximum height of 50 feet, with a smooth, straight grey trunk topped with a large canopy of plumed fronds. These fronds have a double row of leaves and are a dark, glossy green. This palm is noted for its spectacular clusters of flowers and fruits; the flowers arrive in the summer, and the green fruits follow in early winter.
